The history of the Old Testament is the story of men who usually failed because their hearts were not set on God. The picture now is different. The times of refreshing and renewal from the presence of the Lord brings forth a people of a steadfast heart. They are sustained and renewed in spite of all the deadly assault of the wicked one.
