“The extent of the fulfillment of any prophecy depends upon how it is received and acted upon.” – JRS. The mantle of every living Word and prophecy that has been spoken rests upon this generation of promise that is now coming forth. By their relationship with the Lord in His Word, like a generation of Joshuas, they have the potential to create an unlimited fulfillment of that Word. The bitterness and unbelief of Joash will not touch this generation of promise; instead, their faith will be a ministry of deliverance to every other generation. John’s Life, Pentecost And Your Decision June 4, 1995 Sunday 9:30 AM San Diego, CA
The Pentecost of Acts 2 was not a sovereign act of God, but it was triggered by a decision in the hearts of the disciples to believe what Christ had promised. On this day of Pentecost, the 12th anniversary of John’s death, we are in a similar time of transition as those disciples. The Lord is putting a decision before us: “Will you simply believe, in your heart, the Word that I have spoken to you?” By that decision of faith, we turn loose the power of the living Word through us to the earth. The living Word is talking about you; simply decide to believe it.(13:57)
