Fasting has had many purposes in the Word of God, but one of the basic functions is a preparatory time before the Spirit designates a specific work to be done in the Body of Christ. Whenever you fast do so to minister first to the Lord, and when your heart is open and willing to minister to God, then He can commission you and set you in the Body as He chooses. (47 min.)
