Atonement: The Purification Of His Dwelling Place
There are two aspects to the Day of Atonement which have great significance for us. First, through Christ, you who were formerly afar off have been included into the household of God. Secondly, God’s purpose for including you is that He intends to indwell you. The Day of Atonement signifies God’s intent to purify you, His dwelling place. Today, we open our hearts to the privilege which the Day of Atonement gives us — the privilege of inclusion and purification.
