BEWARE OF GIBEON’S SURRENDER
October 29, 1978 Sunday A.M. Val.

The biggest deception that comes to you is often from those who pose no threat to you. The Gibeonites came to Joshua with a false submission and became one of the biggest problems. Their submission was based on a self-interest. Here again is a basic principle on spiritual relationships. (40 min.)

Scriptures: Josh. 9:4-21; 10:12-13; (Gal. 2:11); (Prov. 27:6); (Gen. 32); (Matt. 6:10); (Job 1:8-12); (Gen. 14:23); (John 13:17)
Topics: Submission; Deception; Relationships, Natural; Motivation; Purity; (Worship)

WHY WE SUBMIT
October 29, 1978 Sunday A.M. Ana.

There are several types of submission. Some, like Jonah, are submitting under discipline but their heart remains unchanged. Then there are those like the Gibeonites who are submitting for a selfish motive and advantage. They submit to make others responsible for their care. Then there are still others who are submissive without much understanding or dedication and then of course there are those who would be submissive to the Lord but with their conflicting loyalties they try to serve two masters. Lord, we want our worship and submission to be pure. (47 min.)

Scriptures: Josh. 9:3-16; 10:12-13; Jonah 4:1-4; (II Sam. 23:15); (Luke 6:38); (II Tim. 4:10); (Matt. 8:20)
Topics: Submission; Motivation; Relationship, with the Lord; Purity; Dedication
Rated: For Mature Sons
