Again the basic principles of a right spirit are emphasized in the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus emphasizes the peril of conflicting loyalties and allegiances, the idolatry of judging others. Importunity is given as the key to unlock God’s willingness to us. The sign of the true and the false is revealed in the rightness of one’s spirit rather than in his deeds. (49 min.)
