OUR UNWAVERING CONFESSION
July 22, 1979 Sunday A.M. Iowa

God holds the pen; your heart is the tablet. Let Him make a living tattoo upon your heart and upon your mind, and what He speaks to you, hold it with an unwavering hope and confession. Make your prayers an expression of that hope and faith. Never let your prayers be the whine of the desperately fearful. His word and His rebuke to our heart is always palatable because it is marinated in His love. When we speak His word let us speak the truth in love. (41 min.)

SEASONED WITH SALT
July 22, 1979 Sunday P.M. Iowa

The words that we speak will be the only preserving factor in all of this planet. These words must not be the mouthing of empty and trite phrases or the quotation of Scriptures by rote. We must let His Word dwell in us richly and then we speak, we sing psalms, we make melody in our hearts to the Lord. Do not let your word lose its salt because you have negated it by rebellion, criticism, “empty words.” (16 min.)

Scriptures: Col. 3:18–4:6; (John 6:63); (Rom. 10:17); (Col. 3:16); (Eph. 5:19)
Topics: Word, Speaking; Tongue; Salt, Teaching On; Prayer; Impartation; Criticism
Series: The Victory Siege; Hungry Faith in His Word
