Jesus learned obedience from the things which He suffered; and therefore, He was prepared and trained to face the cross with perfect obedience. We, too, must be prepared to completely submit to Christ at His appearing, and so we practice obedience by submitting ourselves to one another as unto the Lord.

We Have Asked A Difficult Thing
Elisha asked Elijah for a double portion. Elijah answered, “You have asked a difficult thing,” but still Elisha received what he had asked. We are also contending with the Lord for a difficult thing. We cannot do it alone, but the answer will be manifest in the relationships between Elijahs and Elishas.
