The Faculty Of Evaluation
What distinguishes the babe in Christ from the mature son? The babe flounders in his circumstances; the grown son sees Him who is unseen and evaluates his circumstances in the light of the scriptures. To the babe, the devil is big and the Lord is small; to the son, the Lord is magnified and everything else shrinks. This faculty of spiritual evaluation separates the mature believer from the immature.
