They Saw And Touched Resurrection
Those in the Early Church experienced the throes of witnessing Christ’s crucifixion, burial, resurrection, and then the appearings of the resurrected Lord. They knew that by receiving the Holy Spirit, they were guaranteed a glorified, resurrected body. In water baptism, they anticipated the experience of being baptized into the likeness of His death and to walk out in newness of life in the likeness of His resurrection. This Word restores the power and reality of water baptism and our intense anticipation for the Lord to transform our mortal bodies into His likeness.
