THE AXE AND THE THRESHING FLAIL

John the Baptist saw that the baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire was involved with the removal and destruction of the fleshly nature which restricts and voids all that God would do through us. God gives an axe to the root, a flail to the chaff. The psalms that came in many different languages are prophetically indicative of what God is bringing forth in the whole world.

With the prophets Isaiah and Jeremiah God first touched their mouths with fire and then He said, “My words in your mouths will be a fire.” In Acts 2 God sent the fire to the 120 and they too spoke as God gave utterance.
