THIS WALK IS FOR THE BIRDS

This cassette tape contained the following message by John Robert Stevens.

December 27, 1975 Saturday A.M. Seattle

We need to relearn how to come to church. Israel was forbidden to bring any load into the temple and we, too, are learning to leave our battles and our problems our of the services. We come to worship the Lord, not to magnify our needs. We need signs posted at the door “No grouches enter here,” “Leave your garbage outside.” When you travel the low road every hill is a burden. When you mount up with wings as eagles, mountains are only a part of the scenery. This walk is really “for the birds.” An excellent Sabbath service. (49 min.)

Scriptures: Eph. 5:19-20; Col. 3:16-17; Jer. 17:19-27; Isa. 58:13-14; Heb. 4:1-11
Topics: Sabbath; Worship; Focus; Labor; Battle; Fear; Thanksgiving
Series: The Seattle Holiday Conference-December 1975; The Sabbath Rest
