When Christ came as the manifestation of Yom Kippur in the earth, He dealt with sin once for all. He reconciled all things to the Father and gave us access to enter the Father’s presence. However, the Day of Atonement also points us to the salvation reserved in heaven, ready to be revealed in the last time (I Peter 1:3-5). Lord, we appropriate the power of Your atonement. We press in to lay hold of the salvation reserved for us – a salvation without reference to sin (Hebrews 9:28).
