THE FIRST CROWN

Our Lord and Christ endured a crown of thorns first, then the scourging and by those stripes we are healed. Finally, the Roman spear was to open up the fountain filled with blood for our redemption and He said, “It is finished.” We experience the cross, and with us too, it is a vicarious identification with the crown of thorns that is beaten upon the head of those who are to share the crown of glory with Him.
