How did the religious search for the leaven by the Pharisees become the leaven of the Pharisees that Christ warned us to beware of? How does the struggle to be religious become the leaven that defiles? We partake of Christ, our unleavened bread, and we become by partaking. The true search for leaven is a state of heart, not a religious ritual. (67 min.)

Leaven symbolizes the pervading influence of malice, wickedness, self-righteousness. We must keep the Passover without leaven. The days of unleavened bread followed the Passover to teach us the potential of purity. We can be “a new lump.” A very heavy message with a light vein of humor. (58 min.)
