Even after receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit, Christ continued in a lifestyle of persistent pursuit after the Father. As a result, the Spirit continued to descend upon Him so that He was filled with the fullness of the Father. We must commit to a lifestyle of persistence, so that this outpouring will continue to descend and to remain. As with Christ, the fullness of the Father indwelling within us is attainable only through persistence.(12:26)

Our Faith To Be Born Again

When Christ spoke to Nicodemus about being born again, He was describing something that Nicodemus had never experienced. While we focus on whether something in our lives is good or bad, Christ is concerned with whether it is born from a root of flesh or a root of spirit. He has an experience for us, beyond redemption, that causes us to be reborn by the Holy Spirit. In this new state of being, we come into His presence and become His true people.
