In his life, Jacob clearly profited from what was plain dishonesty. That is acceptable, from a worldly viewpoint. It looks like Jacob almost won. However, God wrestled with Jacob and brought him to total defeat so he could know real victory. As sons of God, we cannot succeed by human means, only by the blessing of the Lord.
Do We Accept Our Circumstances?
Your circumstances may be very factual, but they produce lying vanities. You do not have to submit to the defeat that your circumstances represent. Do not let Satan bluff you out with unbelief. Instead, determine to give the Lord the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and He will show you His great mercy and salvation.
