“CALL ME MARA” RUTH 1:19-21
October 21, 1979 Sunday A.M. Shiloh

When God sought for a greatgrandmother of King David, a man after God’s own heart who said his heart was fixed on God, He picked Ruth, a woman of determined faith, without bitterness at the dealings of God. Her motherin-law changed her name from “pleasant” to “bitter” under those same dealings that Ruth endured. Bitterness results from the evaluation of your circumstances and God’s dealings without complete faith in the Word He has spoken. (33 min.)

BITTERNESS REMEMBERS WHAT GOD HAS FORGOTTEN
October 21, 1979 Sunday A.M. Shiloh

Bitterness is often a memory of distorted facts and our subjective reaction to the past. But God sees faith and accounts it for righteousness and blots out the memory of even our transgressions against Himself. Should we not also pray to forgive and forget, and account our brother’s faith as righteousness? (8 min.)

IS BITTERNESS YOUR FUTURE?
October 21, 1979 Sunday A.M. Iowa

If we live in our past bitterness, we will have no future in God. If the way that God has led has not perfected your spirit, you will have no future walk with Him. If you have not forgiven and forgotten, remember that God has not forgotten either. (44 min.)
