Change My Heart To Do Your Will

This Word exposes the deep unbelief and hardness of heart that we see in Christ’s disciples and find in our own hearts. No amount of miracles could deliver them from their unbelief; it was rooted in the conflict between God’s will and what they wanted in their own will and expectations. Jesus walked in a vow to do the will of the Father. Knowing God takes no pleasure in sacrifice, He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God” (Hebrews 10:4-7). Jesus opened the door so this same will can be in us. During this time between Passover and Pentecost we pray, “Father, change my heart to do Your will.”
