Hunger And Thirst — Part II

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness…” (Matthew 5:6). Christ was not referring to a hunger for your peace, ministry or image, but a hunger for purification of your spirit. The righteousness described in this scripture is both a promise and a principle. God promises His righteousness if you hunger for it, and He always responds to hunger. Pure worship comes from a heart that has been cleansed from human responses. A pure worshiper can sit down in the midst of pandemonium and worship God.
