Individual Leadership Gives Way To A Matured Prophetic Community
This Word shows us how we are to walk through the great challenges ahead of us, as we move out of a hierarchical structure and mature into a prophetic community. Each of us must speak and prophesy the Word of the Lord. Our attitude during this transition is: This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:8-9). Hierarchy was invented by the children of Israel when they refused to go up the mountain to hear the voice of the Lord and instead, they demanded that Moses go alone into God’s presence in their place. We are determined that every member of the Body of Christ will hear from the Lord individually and speak the truth in love. Individual leadership is giving way to the functioning of a matured prophetic community. As we move forward, we will be careful to heed all the Word that God has spoken to us. Each one of us must boldly enter the Lord’s presence and hear and speak His Word. We will submit the Word we hear for confirmation. We will all supply a piece of the puzzle that will complete the beautiful picture of God’s Word. We throw off every restraint and every intimidation, for He will not forsake us or leave us. He will fulfill the covenant of His Lordship over our lives.
