Our Response To His Presence

Passover delivered the children of Israel to stand and worship in God’s presence but when He came down upon the mountain they trembled and stood at a distance saying, “Don’t let God speak to us or we will die” (Exodus 20:18-21). It was a terrible mistake to back off from the presence of God, one that we cannot repeat. We must enter God’s presence and not shrink back. Don’t be slaves to the fear of death; instead, fear drawing back from His presence and be bold to meet Him face to face.
