Peter wept bitterly after his act of betrayal, as he realized the deep failure and frailty of his human nature. But the Lord loved Peter. In one simple deep meeting with the Lord, Peter was forgiven and cleansed; he then walked forth as one of the greatest apostles of the early Church. Peter’s story is our story, for we also have failed the Lord numerous times. Today, we open our hearts and reach into a fresh meeting with our Lord that we might walk forth in newness of life.
