Purim — We Execute The Judgments Written
In the book of Esther, the king decreed the hanging of Haman on the very gallows that Haman had built. However, the king could not reverse Haman’s plan for the destruction of the Jewish people that remained even after the death of Haman. On the plea of Esther, the king allowed her people to annihilate any of their enemies who intended to carry out Haman’s schemes; the ten sons of Haman were likewise hanged. Today, for us, it is not enough that Satan has been judged; we must execute the judgments written (Psalms 149:4-9) on those who would carry out Satan’s plan to destroy the people of God. We turn the schemes of the evil ones back on their own heads, and there will be no more Agagites remaining in the land.
