It is essential that we experience the renewing of our mind so that we will know the will of God, which is for our sanctification (I Thessalonians 4:3). As we press in to have Christ be the Lord over every area of our lives, we find that the area of most difficulty – and most easily accessed by satan – is in our mind. As our minds are saved and transformed, our very instincts can be changed or removed. We must put on a helmet of salvation to protect us from thoughts that are not God’s.
