From the parable of the potter and the clay in Jeremiah chapter 18, John gives five steps by which God can take your life and shape it into what He wants. First of all, you must have a complete dependence upon Him. Next, you must have a revelation of His purpose for your life. Then, you must realize that God not only has a plan for you, but it is His hand that will shape it and bring it forth. He has patient determination to take your life and mold it into what He has in mind. Finally, by His grace, God can bring retrieval and restoration from defeat. His purpose for your life is greater than all your failures.
