The Intercessory Spirit Of Hannah – Part II
The intercession of Hannah is a picture of the intercessors in this walk with God and of what a New Testament church ought to be. Hannah not only interceded to have a child, but she was also very dedicated to God in her attitude toward the child. She wanted God’s will for Samuel above any selfish interest of her own. The spirit of intercession to bring forth sons of God and to travail for the ministries to come forth must rest upon the whole church.
A Bruised Reed He Will Not Break
The Lord will make the distinction between what He is in and what He is against (Malachi 3:17-18). However, the Lord is longsuffering. The distinction will come in due time, after He has thoroughly dealt with every heart and there is no possibility of repentance. As long as there is a possibility of repentance, the Lord says, a bruised reed He will not break, a smoking flax He will not quench. He will not fail nor be discouraged until He has set judgment in the earth.
