There Is A Will Of God

This simple and profound Word launches us into functioning as a prophetic community. We must believe that there is a will of God, and that God has a will for each one of us. Jesus said, “Whoever does the will of God, he is my brother and sister and mother” (Mark 3:35). God is determined that we do His will–even in the little details of our daily lives. We must know His will so we can put our spirit and energy and force into executing it. We tend to take an attitude of passivity when we don’t know what God’s will is, but like the men and women of the Scriptures, we should seek God’s will every day and determine to walk in it. As we grow in this relationship of knowing and doing God’s will, the Kingdom of God will come forth. Our daily prayer is, “Thy Kingdom come; Thy will be done!” The will of God is the one true force and authority and power in the universe–and as a prophetic community, we can boldly manifest God’s will on earth. God hears those who do His will, so we pray, “Lord, show us Your will; let us know it and delight in it. Our food will be to do Your will.”
