Things Are Not What They Seem

“Every time I visit Shiloh I am surprised, for there the Holy Spirit devastates me afresh and in ways I do not expect. Only when I go forth again do I find that the Lord has worked some richer, deeper thing of Himself in me.”–JRS. We are drawn to Shiloh only to wonder why we came at all. We are driven to appropriate faith. We learn to judge by what God says–not what we see.

Reading? Or Eating?

Gleaned from a Shiloh Sunday morning service, this excerpt is on our eating the living Word instead of reading it, i.e., focusing and appropriating and becoming the Word of God.
