Uprooting The Spirit Of Saul From The School Of Prophets
This Word prepares us to be a school of prophets through an intense, individual repentance. For too long, we have allowed the principalities and powers ruling this age to train and condition us to live a certain way. Song of Solomon 2:15 says, “Catch the foxes for us, The little foxes that are ruining the vineyards, While our vineyards are in blossom.” This illustrates the attitude we must have towards the things in the spirit world that influence our lives. Although the foxes might seem like minor issues, they must be completely exterminated if we are to move as the school of prophets that God has spoken we are to be. As we have been taught from the beginning, we must come under the Lordship of Jesus Christ and refuse to be submissive to any other influence. A spirit that has affected us is one of an unwillingness to be corrected. Although we are imperfect humans that need to have a broken spirit in our relationship with the Lord, we can feel as though our ministry is too high or our Word is too anointed to be corrected. But even David, although he was the king, needed to have his spirit broken by God. That’s what made him a good king, as opposed to Saul, who only put on an image of religiosity despite his blatant disobedience to what God had said. We prophesy against this religious spirit that is the root of our disobedience, making us untouchable and uncorrectable. We submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ that makes us a school of prophets.
