You Have The Initiative
In this Communion meditation, John taught that we have the initiative in God. We can gather together, we can pray and believe for things to happen, and things will change.
God’s Purpose Shall Go Forth — Psalm 46
In the midst of tribulation, John commits this move to God, who is our refuge and our strength. A church is coming forth that is going to be strong. The New Testament church will be a place of shelter from the storm.
When The Brook Dries Up
The newness of what God is doing always opens us up to persecution. However, wouldn’t you rather look a little peculiar to the world than experience a diminishing amount of blessing? Just like it was with Elijah, God is drying up the brook so that we will move on to the next plane of blessing, because He has better things for us. We will have problems of growth, but that does not mean we will not obtain our objectives. Sooner or later, the blessings on our spirit will bring the victory in every realm.
