THE JOY-CHASERS

Ezra 3:3-6 describes the restoration of the house of worship after the exile and the loud shouts of joy which were heard over hills and valleys afar. Isaiah prophesies for us also the Scriptural restoration of worship. Ours is “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” Isaiah says we shall “overtake gladness and joy.” We are the joy-chasers.

We change as we are exposed to the Lord. As He is revealed to us we are transformed into the same image. This revelation of Christ is seen in us, so that the change is wrought in each of us to the extent that we see Christ in our brother, to the extent that we reveal Christ to our brother.
