You have no idea what the will of God is for you personally, nor do you understand what His Kingdom will mean in your life. Will you be able to entrust your life into His hands? Passover delivered the children of Israel to stand and worship in God’s presence but when He came down upon the mountain they trembled and stood at a distance saying, “Don’t let God speak to us or we will die” (Exodus 20:18-21). It was a terrible mistake to back off from the presence of God, one that we cannot repeat. We must enter God’s presence and not shrink back. Colossians 4:2 tells us to be devoted to prayer and to keep alert. These are powerful words. Our loyalty is to the Kingdom of God and our prayer must be for His will and His Kingdom. When the disciples were in the upper room, not knowing what to expect, they were continually devoting themselves to prayer (Acts 1:14). God poured His Spirit upon them and made them the answer. Creation is in travail, groaning for the manifestation of the sons of God who will set it free, and the Spirit is stirring us to be devoted to prayer as well (Romans 8:15-27). Jesus is at the right hand of the Father praying day and night for us to make this transition. We give ourselves to be created and to be devoted to prayer for His Kingdom.

However, He did not fully manifest the messianic ministry until the Spirit descended and remained with Him. This church has been chosen and anointed to walk as a school of the prophets, but we must seek for a third anointing which brings the fulfillment of our calling and God’s Word over us. This anointing draws the wounded and suffering into our midst and gives them the deliverance they are seeking.

Know Your Spirit To Walk In The Spirit

The apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthians saying, “I became your father through the gospel. Therefore I exhort you, be imitators of me.” Today we honor Marilyn, our spiritual mother through the gospel, by imitating her faith. Marilyn continually taught what she lived and experienced: know your spirit; purify your spirit and keep it locked in, immersed in, and abiding in the Lord. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Salvation leads to being cleansed of filthiness of flesh and spirit. The purifying of our spirits allows us to abide in and be one with God. The Spirit of God bears witness to our spirit, not our mind, that we are God’s children.
